Answers on moments, sponsorships, deals, and payments.
Getting started
What is Ghost Social?+
Ghost helps hosts unlock the value of their communities: connecting members to each other, and matching their rooms with the right sponsors.
Who is this portal for?+
Hosts and sponsors. Hosts create moments, and Ghost finds the right sponsors to fund them. Sponsors get surfaced the moments most aligned with their goals and the people they want to reach, then make an offer. An organization can act as either, one role at a time. Switch between host and sponsor mode in settings, no second organization required.
Who can see whom, hosts and sponsors?+
Anyone browsing can see moments, though some details are gated until you sign in, and you can’t make an offer until you sign up or log in. A sponsor sees the brief, not individual guests. The guest list is shared only after a deal is made, and only if guest list access was part of that deal. Hosts can’t browse sponsors. When a sponsor makes an offer, you see only its category, such as “fintech sponsor,” until you reach a deal, when both identities are revealed. So it stays private for brands too.
How does sponsor matching work?+
For hosts: publish a moment with a short brief, get surfaced to the best-fit sponsors, review their offers, and reach a deal you get paid for through Ghost. For sponsors: set up your organization once, privately browse only the moments that fit (each with a match-quality rating), make an offer anonymously, and reveal your identity when a deal is reached. Sponsors are invisible on the platform except to hosts they’ve reached a deal with.
For hosts
How do I create a moment?+
In the host portal, tap “Create a moment.” Add the basics, describe who’s in the room, set the sponsorship you want, and optionally record a short voice interview. Publish, and Ghost starts matching sponsors.
What is a sponsorship brief?+
The summary a matched sponsor sees: event name, when, where, size, audience, the sponsorship amount requested, what the host can offer in return, and the match-quality rating. It never includes individual guests. Hosts can choose whether to show their organization’s logo, name, and website on the brief. The host themself and any co-hosts stay hidden until a deal is reached.
What can I offer a sponsor?+
Whatever fits your moment: logo placement, a speaking moment, branded elements, a set number of tickets, social content, or attendee list access. These become your deal’s deliverables.
Can I upload my guest list? Who sees it?+
Yes, and it stays private to you by default. A sponsor sees it only after a deal is finalized, and only if you offered guest list access as a deliverable. You control whether to offer it at all.
What is the AI voice interview?+
An optional 90-second interview: Ghost asks a few short questions and writes a summary, capturing nuance that’s hard to type. No human hears your audio; we keep only the transcript summary.
When do I get paid?+
Once a deal is finalized, the sponsor pays through Ghost and the payment is transferred to the payout account you connect in Settings, on Stripe’s standard payout schedule. Ghost doesn’t hold sponsorship funds in escrow. Track status and send reminders from the deal thread in your inbox.
For sponsors
How do I get matched to moments?+
Set up your organization and what you want to sponsor. Ghost privately surfaces only well-fit moments, each with a match-quality rating, so you’re never spammed, and hosts never know their moment was surfaced to you. Review the brief and decide whether to offer.
How do I make an offer?+
Open a matched moment and send an offer with your amount and what you’d like in return. You stay anonymous, shown to the host only as your category such as “fintech sponsor,” until a deal is reached. The host can accept, counter, or decline, each with a note, until you agree.
Do my brand materials appear on a moment?+
Not by default. Sponsors fund moments, they don’t create them, so your materials live in your organization settings. Your logo or branding appears at an event only if that’s a deliverable of the deal.
What happens after a deal is reached?+
A private deal room opens with the host: both identities are revealed, terms are locked, and you pay through Ghost. Deliverables like guest list access unlock then.
Deals & payments
Does Ghost take a commission?+
Member matching is free. For cash sponsorships or vendor deals made through Ghost, we take a commission, disclosed before you commit.
How are payments handled?+
Sponsors pay by card through Ghost once a deal is finalized, and the payment is transferred to the host’s connected payout account. Ghost facilitates the payment but doesn’t hold funds in escrow and isn’t a party to the agreement.
What if a moment is cancelled?+
Email help@ghostsocial.ai and we’ll help both sides sort out next steps. The agreement itself is between the host and sponsor.
Privacy & safety
Who can see my moment and guest list?+
Anyone browsing can see a moment, but it’s limited to the brief, and some details are gated until sign-in. Your guest list stays with you unless you offer to share it with a sponsor as a deliverable, and it’s only visible to them once the deal is finalized. A sponsor that sponsored the moment keeps access to it and its info even after the event ends. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Is my data private?+
Yes, privacy is the default. We share only what’s needed to run a moment or complete a deal you agreed to, and we never sell your data. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Member matching
What is the member matching service?+
Beyond sponsorships, Ghost also matches people to people within a community. As a host, you create your community and share it with your members. Each member has a 5-minute conversation with Ghost, which generates their private profile from their answers. Ghost then matches them to compatible members based on the match drop settings you choose. Attendee matching is coming to this portal soon.
